Who we are?
The Aurora Schools Foundation is a non-profit, charitable, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting the educational programs of the Aurora City Schools. Founded in 1994 as an independent community-based organization, the Foundation is governed by a board of trustees comprised of community members and representatives from other school support groups.
- To enhance the educational experience of the Aurora City Schools.
- Fund Spring & Fall Teacher Grant Requests.
- Provide Graduating Senior Scholarships.
- Build a Long-Term Invested Endowment.
- Fund the Unexpected Grant
Aurora Schools Foundation recently approved over $5,000 in grants during this semester for Aurora Schools teachers. These grants included: A one-day Language Arts Festival at Harmon Middle School with bestselling author Terrie Libenson, who will present on the writing process and conduct a live drawing engagement. Aurora Schools Foundation is proud to announce this year’s winners of Material Needs Grants. These grants, totaling $13,385, support the supplies and equipment needed to create new programs in the Aurora City School District.
